DepEd Region 10 support staff undergo team development and leadership training

DepEdX_2.JPGFifty members of DepEd Region 10’s support staff underwent a team development and leadership training developed by AIM-ZSDM under its program director, Professor Gillian Stevens, PhD. “Strengthening Access and Quality Education in Region 10” is a DEP customized program that aims to train its participants to be more effective problem-solvers and decision-makers, managers and leaders during time of organizational change, and confident communicators.

20150309 STCBD 2.JPG Last March 9, MDM 1997 graduate Dr. Md. Muzaffar Ahmed visited AIM to talk about Save the Children’s Household Economic and Food Security (HEFS/Shiree) Program. This Development@Work talk introduced the program’s background in Bangladesh, its model and achievements, the major challenges it faced, and the lessons and best practices learned from implementing the program.

AmbaForum_SriLanka_01.JPGPolitical conflict and conflict resolution in Sri Lanka was the topic of H.E. Gamini Samaranayake of the Embassy of Sri Lanka during the Ambassadors’ Forum last February 20. The forum examined and analyzed the nature, patterns, and causes of the political violence in Sri Lanka, as well as the process of conflict resolution undertaken by the government.


ZSDM launches ASEAN book on Market Solutions for Poverty Alleviation

ZSDM and DLSU-CSB participate in Distance Knowledge Sharing on Suicide Prevention

20150223_Suicide Prevention_01The AIM Zuellig School of Development Management, in partnership with De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, participated in a distance knowledge seminar on suicide prevention, with representatives from Malaysia sharing their experiences in developing a national suicide plan. 


DepEd Sec Luistro delivers update on education plan for children with disabilities

IMG_1814.JPG Last January 21, the DepED Advisory Council on the Education of Children and Youth with Disabilities (ACECYD), with AIM-ZSDM, organized a stakeholders’ meeting to get an update on the progress made on the five-year development plan for the education of children and youth with disabilities. The update was delivered by DepEd Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro.


(77) Prof. Kuni Miyake on East Asia's Geopolitical Environment

20150129_2.JPGIn partnership with the Japanese Embassy and the AIM Policy Center, AIM ZSDM held a Dev@Work seminar entitled “The Changing Geopolitical Environment in East Asia and the Policy of Abe Administration” last January 29. The seminar tackled the history and current status of the geopolitical environment in East Asia set by the People’s Republic of China.

76-ADB BannerThe Asian Development Bank and AIM-ZSDM held a joint Development@Work on “Innovative Asia: Advancing the Knowledge-Based Economy” last January 22, where the key findings from ADB’s studies on Asia’s knowledge economies were presented by Ms. Shanti Jagannathan.
