20150630_1.JPGZSDM co-organized “Mental Health and Psychosocial Well-being after Disasters: Global Updates & the Philippines’ Experience,” a videoconference held in partnership with the World Bank’s Tokyo Development Learning Center.  The talk featured Dr. Dinah Nadera of the Foundation for Advancing Wellness, Instruction and Talents, Inc., and Dr. Atsuro Tsutsumi of the UN University International Institute for Global Health.

The Asian Institute of Management, as one of the The World Bank – Tokyo Development Learning Center’s partner institutions, was one of the two Philippine sites for Psychological First Aid (PFA): Mutual Support for Resiliency After Crisis. This videoconference session covered the basics of PFA  as discussed in WHO’s PFA Field Guide and was held in partnership with CHEERS and PSDMN.

Uncharted: MDM 2015 Goes Off the Beaten Track

LT8_4.jpgLast April 29, the Asian Institute of Management’s Zuellig School of Development Management held the 5th Annual Rapid Area Assessment Photo Exhibit. Entitled “Uncharted: MDM 2015 Goes Off the Beaten Track,” the evening showcased 36 choice photographs by the students and a short presentation on their findings and insights about the MDM class of 2015’s Rapid Area Assessment (RAA) immersion in 9 remote municipalities in the Philippines.
